Journey Ireland 2026

April 25 - May 2, 2026

Journey Details

Group of hikers posing by a lake with mountains and trees in the background.

Imagine This...

The emerald landscape polished to a shine by the morning mist. The countless sheep around every turn. The sense that something magical is bubbling just under the surface of all this serenity. They weren’t kidding about Ireland. You can feel that something extraordinary awaits you here as tangibly as you can feel the breeze across your face.

Something inexplicable drew you to this place at this time, and you're determined to get at least a glimpse of what and why...

Join us for a week long journey across Ireland with a small group of 10-15 Christians.

-You will understand how the ancient Irish Christian community and saints can provide a rich spiritual heritage and helpful practices you can use today to grow your faith.

-You will realize that you have an intimate connection with God the Creator, after immersing yourself in the lush, green countryside, rugged landscapes, and peaceful waters he designed.

-You will have a stronger sense of Jesus as “Immanuel” who is with you in the ordinary moments of daily living.

-You will return home knowing God your Shepherd is still there guiding you.

-You will be ready to take spiritual risks beyond the familiar and into the unknown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Celtic Christians often found spiritual significance in the natural world around them, such as forests, rivers, and animals. They saw these elements as manifestations of God's divine presence and used them as points of meditation and worship. For example, a simple practice within Celtic Christianity might involve going into a forest or sitting by a river, contemplating the beauty and intricacy of nature, and using it as a backdrop for prayer and communion with God. This practice emphasizes the idea that God can be encountered not only in sacred spaces like churches but also in the everyday world. This is an opportunity for you to connect with God in beautiful locations while in community.

Each participant will be given a prayer guide with pre-written prayers and Scriptures relevant to the theme of the day. We will recite these prayers together at morning, midday, and evening to ground our experience in prayer and Scripture. Each prayer time will last about 5-15 minutes.

For this Journey, we charter a private mini bus. The bus can comfortably seat up to 16 people. There is no bathroom on board. There is a large trunk for each person's luggage, plus overhead storage for backpacks and personal items. View Photos

Breakfasts and coffee/tea are included at all our hotels/B&B's. We will purchase simple lunches for the groups to enjoy often as a picnic. Dinners will be together at restaurants and pubs. Our budget will have room for everyone to enjoy appetizers, entrees, desserts and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages each dinner.

Each day is different with the amount of walking. Some days include just wandering around a holy site or museum. Other days include longer hikes and walks (Croagh Patrick and Cliffs of Moher). Most days there will be an option for an easy walk or to do the strenuous hike. We want to make sure the trip is accessible to different walking/hiking preferences.

There will be times when the group is encouraged to do silent reflection at a holy site.

Bigger cities (Dublin, Westport, Limerick) have opportunities for shopping & exploring. Smaller towns are more remote with less options. Free time will happen daily.

While it is hard to predict exactly, we recommend bringing layers and at least some waterproof gear in case the weather is wet. Expect temps in the 50's/60's.

"I truly enjoyed our faith pilgrimage"

"I truly enjoyed our faith pilgrimage"

What a great trip. I have been looking forward to this opportunity for over a year! The amount of time on the journey and the diversity of sites we were able to visit made it a well-rounded opportunity.  We had a good amount of personal time (for study, reflection, exploring and shopping). There was group time that helped us process with others.  Also there was sufficient opportunity to just be alone.

I planned and embarked on this trip with high expectations and they were exceeded in every way. Journey Ireland, 2025 was an incredibly inspiring spiritual pilgrimage and retreat. I highly recommend to anyone interested in furthering their spiritual life through learning about early heroes of the faith  All this happens with terrific fellowship and in an unbelievably beautiful setting.

"A true immersion experience"

This trip exceeded my expectations in every way!  It was so well organized and included places that were not only historical and beautiful but also spiritually meaningful. It truly was a journey where I experienced the wonder of Ireland but also deepened my relationship with God and others. Every detail was taken care of by Connor and that made all the difference!
